CTS in Turkey: a relevant operation on the Black Sea coast

Another significant intervention abroad for CTS, the consortium of
haulers based in Roncalceci. After the important projects completed during the year in Africa (Cape Verde and Cameroon), the company has just completed a comprehensive operation in Turkey, on the Black Sea coast.
With the proper tools needed for lifting and positioning large artifacts, Cts has coordinated the landing in the port of Samsun, the load on self-propelled vehicles, the lift from trucks and the final positioning on foundations of seven engines from Wartsila weighing 300 tons each one, and the same number of generators from ABB, 70 tons each, for the installation of a power plant for the local steel mill.
To accomplish this, CTS has firstly played a site visit to assess the condition of the roads connecting the port and to the plant. After a careful planning phase of the operation, has been sent to Turkey a specialized team that performed the entire project in just three weeks.
"It has been a delicate operation mainly because we did not have much time, and it has been necessary to organize 14 exceptional transport - says Marco Melandri, sales manager of CTS - We are very satisfied, because the execution of this project confirms once again that CTS is able to work with great professionalism also outside Europe, despite logistical and climatic conditions are not always optimal. The decision to operate so far from our usual territories has become strategic for us: nowadays we are considering the entire Mediterranean basin as an integral part of our field of action, so that in these days we are also definitely transferring some means in Libya, convinced in the positive developments of the area."
